Smiles for Miles is an annual family grant program created by the Angry Wheelchair Dad Foundation Inc. to help families raising children and young adults with disabilities create meaningful memories together. We know firsthand that families living with disability often face additional costs, accessibility challenges, medical appointments, caregiving responsibilities and financial limitations that can make outings difficult. We will award up to three families (as funds permit) $500 each. Read the rules and apply by clicking the button below.
Sometimes all a family needs is an opportunity to get away, have fun and make some memories together.
The Handi Awards honor businesses, organizations, and community partners that make their spaces, services, and experiences more accessible and welcoming for people with disabilities. They highlight those showing true commitment to inclusion, dignity, and equal access — recognizing effort, not just perfection. If you know of an establishment or organization that deserves a Handi Award, please tell us about them. Accessibility deserves recognition, Inclusion deserves celebrating and doing the right thing deserves to be seen.

Educational Outreach Programs -your donations can help change the way the world sees disability. Angry Wheelchair Dad Foundation Inc. brings real life experiences into the communities to educate, challenge misconceptions, and inspire meaningful change. We work with businesses, schools, organizations, families and community members to better understand accessibility, ADA rights, inclusion and the everyday challenges people with disabilities face. Every conversation has the potential to open doors - sometimes literally - and create a community where accessibility isn’t an afterthought, but a priority.
Accessibility Education & Community Outreach — Education can start with a conversation. The Angry Wheelchair Dad Foundation inc. uses cards to call out vehicles illegally or thoughtlessly parked in accessible spots, blocking ramps, access aisles, or other areas needed by people with disabilities. The cards are educational and point drivers to our Wall of Shame, where their vehicle may be pictured with other offenders.
Resource Center - Families shouldn’t have to navigate disability alone. The Angry Wheelchair Dad Foundation Inc. Is building a resource center to help families find information, support and services. We will direct them to community organizations, other non-profit groups, local and state agencies that may help them. We may not have every answer, but we believe every family deserves to know where to look for one.
